New Cleanroom Consumables Framework Launched
08 December 2017

A new Cleanroom Consumables and Laundering Services for Pharmacy Aseptic Units framework launched on 1st November 2017.

Pharmacy Aseptic Units (PAUs) in the East of England spend in excess of £1 million per annum on Cleanroom Consumables Products and Laundry Services. This market has seen unprecedented change in particular with the updated MHRA guidance.  This change has led to a shift in practice and change control processes within PAUs on when to introduce a sporicidal disinfectant.  The impact of this change has led to increased costs for PAUs and the need to explore new product developments.  There has also been a high level of regulatory change and the cost of alcohol has increased significantly.  We have supported trusts in the East of England for over five years in this market area and have worked closely with our Preparative Services Network to run this procurement.

The framework agreement is an all-encompassing contract to cover trust aseptic needs and boasts the widest range of suppliers and products currently available on the market.

The following categories are included with the framework agreement:

  • Lot 1 - Disinfectants and Detergents
  • Lot 2 - Reusable Garments and Laundering Services
  • Lot 3 - Disposable Garments
  • Lot 4 -  Aseptic Processing Devices
  • Lot 5 - Cleanroom Consumables
